Toronto officer charged with impaired driving after collision on Gardiner

A Toronto police officer has been arrested and charged with impaired driving after a single-car collision on Monday.

According to police, 26-year-old Constable Enis Egeli was off-duty during the incident, which happened on the Gardiner Expressway east of Dufferin Street around 4 a.m.

The constable has been a member of the police force for four years and works for 13 Division.

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on the morning of Jan. 14, 2014.
