A man believed to be in his 50s was struck and killed by a van early today in north-end Toronto.

Toronto police Const. Tim Burrows says the unidentified man was struck at about 1:20 a.m. on Dufferin near St. Clair.

He was pronounced dead on scene a short time later.

The victim was not carrying any identification, so police are still trying to figure out who he is.

Police have not yet determined whether charges will be laid.
