Toronto police are appealing to the public for help in identifying a man wanted in two separate armed robberies on the city's transit system.
Security camera images of a suspect that were taken during the robberies at the Chester and Christie subway stations have been released and are posted on the Toronto police website.
Investigators say a man wearing a black hoodie and bandana covering his face entered the Chester subway station on Aug. 6 just before midnight, and approached the collector's booth.
It's alleged the man pointed a gun at the collector and demanded cash, then escaped with cash and transit passes.
Police say the same man entered the Christie subway station on Aug. 26 wearing a black hoodie and bandana and carried out a very similar hold up.
Staff Insp. Mike Earl says there were no injuries in either incident but police want to prevent any further hold ups by the suspect.
The man is described as white, about 25 to 30 years old, five feet 10 to six feet tall and was also wearing a black toque and a white glove with a grey palm on his left hand.
