Two men in hospital after east-end shooting in Toronto

Two people are in hospital after an early-morning shooting in Toronto's east end.

Authorities say two men showed up at an east-end hospital with gunshot wounds at about 6 a.m. Monday, and were transferred to separate trauma centres.

The extent of their injuries is not clear and police have not confirmed exactly where the shooting incident took place.

No other details about the victims have been released.

Police are investigating.
