Two people have been arrested after two crashes in northwest Toronto involving police cruisers.

Police say at about 12:30 a.m., an officer was driving east (on Finch Ave.) when the cruiser was rear-ended by another driver.

The cruiser careened into another car and the suspect's vehicle crashed into a parked car, leaving four vehicles damaged.

The suspect, a woman in her 50s, fled on foot but was arrested a short time later. The officer suffered minor injuries.

A second driver then hit a police cruiser that was blocking the initial crash scene.

A man driving that car was arrested and both drivers are suspected of impaired driving. No one was seriously hurt.
