Jenna Talackova, a Canadian transgendered constestant in the Miss Universe pageant, gets ready for a photo shoot at the Sandman Signature Hotel in Toronto on Saturday.
Ms. Talackova was allowed to take part in the contest after pageant owner Donald Trump overruled a decision to disqualify her because she wasn't born female.
Ms. Talackova underwent sex-change surgery at age 19 and has said she knew from an early age that she was born the wrong gender.
