More than 800 photos of pricey watches, jewellery, collectors' coins, cash and other valuables have been posted by police after an investigation dubbed Project Spiderman ended in the arrest of an alleged burglar.

Police say a man equipped with burglary tools, including listening devices, spy cams and an array of lock picks, targeted high-end homes across the Toronto region. According to the police, the thief stole millions of dollars' worth of property from 2010 and last January, often climbing the exterior of homes in order to enter through a skylight or second-storey window and avoid alarm systems.

Victims of home robberies are being asked to view photos of recovered items at tps.to/spiderman to see if any of the loot is theirs. If they see something they recongize, they can contact the police at 32 Division in Toronto, 416-808-3219, or e-mail: Gagnon.32Division@TorontoPolice.on.ca

Charged with 31 counts of break and enter is 43-year-old Shane Gagnon, also known as Shane Louis Zwezdararyk.
