Conrad Black applied for bail yesterday to the court that sentenced him, pending his hearing at the U.S. Supreme Court. The Supreme Court turned down an earlier request. Lord Black was sentenced to 6½ years in prison after his conviction for fraud and obstruction of justice in 2007.
