Updates from the scene: The lifting of the wrecked Costa Concordia cruise ship

The lifting of the ship will be slow as pressure is applied to the 56 enormous chains that are tilting the ship upright. Initially, 2,000 tonnes of pressure is being applied to the chains. When the pressure reaches 4,000 tonnes, the ship is expected to move.
