LISTING AGENT Heather Lemieux, Royal LePage Connect Realty

The Action: Just a short distance north of Lake Ontario, this detached, back-split residence was toured by more than 50 shoppers, equally split between private showings and an agents' open house this fall. Four buyers returned with offers within a week.

What They Got: What looks like a bungalow on a 55-by-113-foot lot is a four-level back split standing two-storeys at the rear with three bedrooms upstairs and a lower-level bedroom and family room with one of two gas fireplaces and a walkout to an in-ground pool.

At the front is a main-floor living room, dining area and eat-in kitchen renovated with granite counters and stainless steel appliances, plus a sunroom addition with greenhouse windows, glass ceilings and a patio exit.

Down in the basement is a fireside recreation room and one of three bathrooms.

The Agent's Take: "The whole neighbourhood is fabulous – the Centennial/West Rouge waterfront community – but this street and little pocket only has two ways in and it's surrounded by ravines on all sides, so it's kind of a prestigious street," says agent Heather Lemieux.

"[And] the way the house was situated was nice because there was a pool … and a grassed area."

This nearly 50-year-old home also suited families inside. "[The sellers] spent a lot of money and time in renovations … including an addition of a four-season sunroom with heated floors and access to the garage," Ms. Lemieux notes.

"There were three bedrooms up and one on the level by the family room, which if you have two kids, a lot of people use that as a guest room/office."
