The developers of the 38-storey building at 150 Redpath are piling on the amenities to cater to busy urbanites with an appetite for non-stop activity.
Public areas will be spread out across two floors, and include a 24-hour diner to serve customers everywhere from its public patio to a private rooftop terrace.
“The amenity package is really built for a 24/7 lifestyle, no matter what time of day, there’s something to do for everybody,” says Capital Developments managing partner Jordan Dermer.
“The response has been nothing short of unbelievable because people feel the amenity package and lifestyle in this building doesn’t currently exist at Yonge and Eglinton.”
“We have an on-site, 24-hour diner with room service, as well as service to the outdoor infinity pool and cabana area, which is pretty much hotel level service,” Mr. Dermer explains.
“[Nearby], there really isn’t any infinity pool-type lounging area with cabanas that you might see from some of the best resorts of the world with food and beverage service, so that is a very exclusive amenity.”
The modern asymmetrical project – designed by architectsAlliance – will also offer concierge, dry cleaning and dog walking services, in addition to a fitness centre, steam and hot stone therapy rooms, party, dining and lounging areas.
“We’re going to have something called the Cave, which is a lounge that includes a games room, golf simulator, a bar equipped with a rail for taps for various local and international beer offerings, games tables and TVs for people to watch their favourite sporting event,” Mr. Dermer notes.
“Those are things that even the best sports bars in the area wouldn’t have, so we’ve taken things up a notch.”
However, local establishments are still a major draw for the 543-unit high-rise, which will stand across from a shorter sister tower at 155 Redpath as the second instalment by the developer at the corner of Roehampton Avenue, just north of Eglinton Avenue.
“The building is a short walk to so many amenities in the area, like cinemas and restaurants, just to name a few fabulous ones like Cibo Wine Bar, North 44, La Vecchia, The Keg, Zucca and Coquine,” Mr. Dermer says.
“While you’re getting the entire benefit of being in the Yonge and Eglinton area, you don’t have to deal with the noise and traffic because this building is secluded in a very leafy environment on a quiet street.”
Essential for all ages are also in abundance, such as a new Loblaws and LCBO, Yonge subway line, TTC buses and future Eglinton Crosstown LRT to be completed a few years after this tower’s built in fall 2018.
“Then there are a tremendous amount of schools – we have a count of 14 schools in a reasonable area of the building – and many parks,” Mr. Dermer adds.
Interested buyers can chose from a small selection of two-storey townhomes with interior and exterior access or studios to three-bedroom-plus-den suites above.
“We’re looking at nice-size balconies with tremendous amount of natural light, and views north, south, east and west, especially from the upper levels of the building,” Mr. Dermer says.
Interior decor by Johnson Chou will entail nine-foot concrete ceilings, engineered laminate floors, custom kitchen cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and glass mosaic tile backsplashes.
A parking stall will cost $50,000 and monthly fees about 50 cents per square feet, plus separately-metered water and hydro.
