DAYS ON THE MARKET Six

LISTING AGENTS Heather Lemieux and Andrea Roberton, Royal LePage Connect Realty

The Action: Lush ravines cut behind many Centennial homes, such as this detached bungalow with a detached garage, which hosted 70 showings and several open houses, including one so busy, three agents managed the public lined up outside. After devoting a week to marketing, six parties faced off to present the best bid.

What They Got: Adam's Creek lies beyond the perennial gardens of a 50-by-190-foot lot belonging to this 1940s home, which the sellers maintained with new heating and cooling systems, two updated bathrooms and revamped kitchen with stone backsplashes, stainless steel appliances and sliding doors to a deck and hot tub.

Hardwood floors appear in a living room with a gas fireplace, adjacent dining area and three bedrooms, while laminate floors ground some areas of the lower level in-law suite, which has a separate side entrance, recreation area and kitchenette.

The Agent's Take: "It's not your typical bungalow layout, the kitchen was at the back, which was quite nice, and the living and dining room is at the front of the house," says agent Heather Lemieux.

"And really, just about everything was done, the people who bought it don't have to do much."

The interior appeal was nearly outdone by its exterior setting. "It's on a really nice lot with a stream running through the back of it," Ms. Lemieux notes.

"It was great for a first time buyer or a retiree who wants to stay in the area. Even though it's on a beautiful lot – and quite a long lot – there wasn't a lot of maintenance because a lot of it was treed in the back."
