"Unlike other hotel residences that share hotel amenities, like the pool and gym … at the Ritz you have [about] 3,300 square feet that's your own private space and this amenity floor that's just for residents."

The grand scale and size of this suite was another bright point for buyers. "About ten per cent of the units are 3,000 square feet or larger," Mr. Taylor notes.

"The décor in the unit was amazing, [for instance, the seller] has a gentleman who does Venetian plaster better than I've ever seen anywhere in the city."
