New developments in artificial intelligence and robotics put 42 per cent of Canadian workers at high risk of seeing their jobs disappear or significantly changed in the next two decades, a new report concludes.

Here is how the Brookfield Institute report defines the risk levels:

  • Low risk: 0 to 29-per-cent probability of being affected by automation
  • Medium risk: 30 to 69-per-cent probability of being affected by automation
  • High risk: 70 to 100-per-cent probability of being affected by automation
