Microforum Inc. has acquired Blue Hypermedia, a New York Web-development firm and new-media production company. The price was $14-million (U.S.), consisting of $4.9-million cash and the issue of 1,770,160 common shares, Mississauga-based Microforum said. Blue Hypermedia has been profitable since its inception, and had 1999 revenue of $2.8-million (U.S.) with earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of $1.5-million.
