Nazanin Afshin-Jam is co-founder and president of Stop Child Executions, an independent human rights group providing updates and drawing attention to the minors currently on death row in Iran.

Ms. Afshin-Jam worked briefly with the Red Cross as a Global Youth Educator, teaching seminars to prompt awareness for child poverty and communities affected by war, before being named Miss World Canada in 2003. She used the title to speak at events internationally about issues affecting the rights of women and children, especially in Iran.
