Report on Small Business senior editor Terry Brodie hung out  with marketing pro Marc Gordon, founder and president of Toronto-based Fourword Marketing.

Mr. Gordon, a speaker, author and marketing consultant, shared  his wisdom on how small businesses can build effective marketing and social media strategies. With so many choices and so many tools, he talked about the best ways for small businesses to get the most bang for their buck, and which tactics work best for which kinds of businesses.

Mr. Gordon's firm specializes in helping businesses create brand identities and develop effective marketing campaigns; many of his clients are small- to medium-sized businesses.
