RBC Dominion Securities is adding two new managing directors to its U.S. investment banking group.
Chauncey Dewey joins the firm as sector head of specialty finance. He will work from New York and be a part of RBC's U.S. financial institutions group.
The other new hire is Ben Lyons, who will focus on investment banking in the chemicals industry as part of the U.S. industrials group. He will also work out of the New York office.
Both hires have worked in similar roles at other firms. Mr. Dewey has nearly two decades of investment banking experience and most recently worked at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods Inc., an investment bank that specializes in the financial services sector. Mr. Lyons has worked in his field for more than 10 years, most recently at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
"The addition of Chauncey and Ben to the firm reflects RBC's ongoing commitment to meeting our clients' needs and providing breadth and depth of product and sector coverage," said Blair Fleming, head of RBC's U.S. capital markets and investment banking businesses, in a statement.
The bank has built out its expertise in other areas, such as hiring a managing director of technology banking south of the border and expanding its research team to cover more asset classes and regions around the world.
