There's a new face on the board of directors of RBC Europe Ltd., Royal Bank of Canada's European division.
Effective December 1, Clare Spottiswoode will join the board, bringing with her over two decades of experience in energy and financial services, which includes serving as director general of the U.K. gas regulator Ofgas in the 1990s.
Ms. Spottiswoode will fill a hole left by Andrew Foster, who has been on the board for nearly 10 years and is retiring from his deputy chairman role. Jim Pettigrew will assume his reposibilities.
