Conrad Black

Conrad Black suddenly has an opening and is going to ask for bail.

In a series of rulings this morning, the U.S. Supreme Court left the door open for Lord Black to win a reversal of his fraud conviction. The Court narrowed the interpretation of the "honest services" theory but did not throw out the theory altogether.

Eric Sussman is the former lead prosecutor on the Conrad Black case. He is now Kaye Scholer's Head of the Regulatory Enforcement and White Collar Litigation Practice in Chicago.

He and Peter Biro, partner with WeirFoulds LLP in Toronto, and an expert in white collar crime, took reader questions in a live discussion.
