The Toronto Blue Jays activated left-fielder Melky Cabrera off the 15-day disabled list in time for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
The 28-year-old had been out of the lineup since June 27 with tendinitis in his left knee.
Signed as a free agent in the off-season, Cabrera is batting .278 with three home runs and 29 RBIs in 78 games in 2013.
In nine seasons with the Yankees, Braves, Royals, Giants and Blue Jays, Cabrera has a .284 batting average with 72 home runs and 446 RBIs in 1,062 games.
In a corresponding move, Toronto optioned reliever Neil Wagner to triple-A Buffalo.
