Blue Jays come up big in ninth inning to top Tampa Bay Rays

Toronto Blue Jays' Jose Reyes, center, acknowledges teammate Steve Tolleson after his single scored Reyes and Dan Johnson in front of Tampa Bay Rays catcher Jose Molina during the ninth inning of a baseball game Friday, July 11, 2014, in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Steve Tolleson's two-run single snapped a ninth-inning tie and helped the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Tampa Bay Rays 8-5 on Friday night.

Jose Reyes and Jose Bautista also drove in two runs each for the Blue Jays, who blew a four-run lead before using a walk and Reyes's one-out double to set up the go-ahead hit off Grant Balfour (0-3).

Aaron Loup (3-2) pitched 1 1/3 runless innings to get the win. Casey Janssen worked a perfect ninth for his 14th save.
