The Toronto Blue Jays recalled outfielder Anthony Gose from Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday and designated outfielder Moises Sierra for assignment.

The team also selected the contract of infielder Steve Tolleson and sent infielder Jonathan Diaz to the Bisons.

Gose has a .235 batting average and seven RBIs in 19 games with Buffalo this season. In parts of the last three seasons with the Blue Jays, he has a .238 average with three home runs, 23 RBIs and 20 stolen bases in 109 games.

Tolleson also played 19 games for Buffalo, posting a .236 average with one home run and nine RBIs. He has played 54 career major-league games with Oakland and Baltimore over two seasons.

Sierra and Diaz were used sparingly by the Blue Jays this season. Sierra was batting just .059 while Diaz had a .176 average.
