The Toronto Blue Jays have added some more speed to the lineup with the announcement on Wednesday that they have signed outfielder Scott Podsednik to a minor league contract with an invitation to attend Major League spring training.

The 34-year-old spent last season with the Kansas City Royals and Los Angeles Dodgers, posting a combined average of .297 with 35 stolen bases while posting a .342 OBP in 134 games.

The Texas native has appeared in 1016 games over a 10-year career, recording a .279 average with 301 stolen bases, 544 runs scored and a .340 OBP.
