Roy Halladay has decided silence is his best option when it comes to discussing his future with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Since Friday's Major League Baseball trade deadline came and went without the game's marquee pitcher changing teams, Halladay has chosen to keep his thoughts to himself on the matter.

"I'm not talking about it any more," Halladay said over the weekend when approached by several reporters seeking comment. "It's time to move on."

Even since it was revealed that the Blue Jays were willing to entertain trade offers for their all-star hurler, Halladay has been questioned relentlessly on the matter and he has patiently given his time.

Now that the matter was settled once and for all on Friday, the pitcher has decided he doesn't want to talk about it any more.

"I think now that it's over with, it's going to be a relief for everybody," Toronto manager Cito Gaston said, referring to all the trade speculation that has surrounded Toronto's top pitcher.

"I do this [talk to reporters]every day with you guys. Doc doesn't have to do this every day. It takes a little bit more out of him doing this every day."
