Free agent centre Samuel Dalembert has agreed to terms with the Houston Rockets,

ESPN.com reported Wednesday, citing sources close to the situation.

Dalembert has agreed to a two-year deal worth $13.7 million, according to ESPN.com. The Rockets have a team option for the second season, allowing Houston to buy out Dalembert's remaining contract for $1.5 million.

Dalembert played for the Sacramento Kings last season, and their interest in Dalembert increased when it was learned that Chuck Hayes had failed a physical and his contract would be voided.

Dalembert told Fox Sports Florida on Tuesday that he expected to re-sign in the Kings, but negoitiations broke down.

The Rockets needed a big man when their atytempts to trade for the Lakers' Pau Gasol failed, and they were unable to sign free agent center Nene.
