After having endured another disappointing season by their baseball team, frustrated Toronto Blue Jays fans may now be faced with an increase in single game ticket prices for the 2010 season.
Jason Diplock, the Blue Jays vice-president of ticket sales and service, stressed yesterday that no final decision has been made yet on the prices of single game tickets, which do not go on sale until February.
Diplock said the American League team is exploring ways to "simplify" for the consumer a rather convoluted process that currently exists for purchasing seats.
Asked specifically if that means the ticket prices will be going up, Diplock said that in general "we'd like to freeze the prices."
Depending on the new ticket purchasing policies that are put into place, Diplock added "there may be some scenarios where a particular seat might be a little more expensive.
"But again we don't know for sure."
