Calgary Flames goalie Miikka Kiprusoff, left, replaces goalie Leland Irving during the second period against the Boston Bruins

Nathan Horton and Patrice Bergeron each had two goals and an assist and the Boston Bruins took control from the outset en route to a 9-0 drubbing of the visiting Calgary Flames on Thursday night.

Tuukka Rask turned aside 25 shots to earn his third shutout in four starts and the Bruins won for the ninth time in 10 games to improve to 23-3-1 since Nov. 1.

David Krejci added a goal and two assists to extend his points streak to seven games as Boston sent the Flames to their fifth consecutive defeat.

Tyler Seguin also had a goal and assist and Benoit Pouliot added three assists for the Bruins, who have outscored their two opponents 15-1 in 2012. It marked the 11th time this season that Boston has scored at least six goals.

Seguin scored just 74 seconds into the game against Flames rookie Leland Irving, who knew it wouldn't be his night when Lucic's centering pass from the top of the faceoff circle deflected off Calgary's Olli Jokinen's skate and into the net for a 2-0 lead two minutes later.

Bergeron and Chris Kelly scored 41 seconds apart in the first 2:06 of the second period to build the lead to 5-0, and Horton chased Leland with the first of his two goals just over two minutes later.
