The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have re-signed East Division all-star running back Will Ford.

Ford ran 113 times for 594 yards and two touchdowns last season. His 70-yard run in an October game at Calgary was the second longest by a running back last season. He finished with 156 rushing yards in that game.

Ford named the CFL special teams player of the week twice last season, in Weeks 11 and 15. During the Week 11 Banjo Bowl against Saskatchewan, Ford ran back a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown. Four weeks later he returning another kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown in Calgary.

Ford also had seven receptions for 41 yards and one touchdown during the 2013 campaign.

Through two seasons, he has rushed for 727 yards, a 5.3 yard average, and five touchdowns.

"Will showcased his talent last season when he took on the role of our starting tailback and return specialist," general manager Kyle Walters said in a statement. "We are happy to get this deal done and have Will return to our organization in 2014."
