Calgary Stampeders quarterback Henry Burris was named the CFL's offensive player of the week Tuesday.

The veteran pivot was 26-of-42 for a career-high 422 yards and three touchdowns in Calgary's 38-31 win over the Montreal Alouettes.

Burris also had three carries for 29 yards and ran in the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Winnipeg linebacker Joe Lobendahn took defensive honours for his part in the Blue Bombers' 30-27 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Lobendahn registered seven tackles and one forced fumble. With the game tied 17-17 early in the third, Lobendahn prevented Ticats touchdown, punching the ball out of wide receiver Chris Williams' hands just before he reached the goal-line.

Montreal kicker/punter Sean Whyte was named as the top special teams player after connecting on three field goals and three converts. He also averaged of 45.6 yards on seven punts and added a single.

Meanwhile, Calgary wide receiver Johnny Forzani was named the top Canadian after hauling in six passes for a career-high 101 yards to go along with the first two touchdowns of his career.
