No. 2 Western 50, No. 3 Queen's 31
At London, Ont. — Second-ranked Western kept its undefeated season in tact by using its dominant ground game to run past No. 3 Queen's 50-31 in Canadian Interuniversity Sport action on Saturday.
Quarterback Wil Finch and running backs Yannick Harou and Adam Sinclair all rushed in touchdowns for Western (6-0). Finch also passed for two TDs, with Sinclair catching one of the scores.
Finch was impressive on the ground, running for 114 yards while also racking up 254 passing yards on the day.
Harou's 153 rushing yards was the most among Mustangs' running backs.
Ryan Granberg broke a career rushing record for the Gaels (4-1), hitting and surpassing the 3,000-yard plateau by rushing for 117 yards. Granberg passed Mike Giffin's record of 3,035 yards in his Queen's career.
Gaels quarterback Billy McPhee was 22-for-36 with 336 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Daniel Heslop led all Queen's receivers with 87 yards.

Sherbrooke 16, Montreal 12
MONTREAL — Isaac Lauzon's one-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter lifted the Sherbrooke Vert et Or over the fourth-ranked Montreal Carabins 16-12 on Sunday afternoon in Canadian university football action.
Lauzon rushed for 42 yards on 15 carries for the Vert et Or (2-3) while quarterback Jeremi Roch completed 19-of-32 passes for 251 yards and one interception. Alexandre Aube scored the other touchdown for Sherbrooke.
Gabriel Cousineau went 15-for-28 for the Carabins (3-2) and had just 151 throwing yards to go along with one reception. Sean Thomas-Erlington scored the lone touchdown for Montreal.
Aube completed an 11-play, 98-yard drive with an eight-yard run at 10:02 of the first quarter to put the Vert et Or up a touchdown.
Less than four minutes later the Carabins got on the board after a safety and then Thomas-Erlington gave Montreal its first lead on a one-yard run with 1:11 to play in the first.
The two clubs traded safeties, which put Montreal ahead 12-9 heading into the fourth quarter.
Lauzon capped off a five-play 51-yard drive with the go-ahead touchdown with 4:57 to play in the game.

UofT 50, Carelton 10
At Toronto, Simon Nassar threw four touchdown passes, including three to Alex Pierzchalski, as the University of Toronto (2-4) beat the rebuilding Carleton Ravens football program 50-10 in Canadian Interuniversity Sport play Friday.
The loss marked Carleton's fifth in as many games this season.
Nassar completed 26 of 39 passes for 343 yards, and hit Pierzchalski with scoring passes of 16 and 28 yards in the second quarter, and a 10-yarder in the third.
Aaron Milton made his presence felt on the ground for Toronto, with 17 carries for 171 yards and a touchdown.
Nathaniel Behar caught four passes for 34 yards and a touchdown, while Andrew Banerjee made a 17-yard field goal for the Ravens.
Carleton resurrected its football program this season after pulling the plug on the team after the 1998 campaign.

At Halifax, the Saint Mary's Huskies defence gave up just 163 yards in total offence to the X-Men in their 25-13 win on Friday night.
Michael Dawes scored on a 3-yard run in the first quarter to make it 10-0, and Jacob Gesse ran in from the four-yard line in the third quarter to push the lead to 22-3.
Chase Kodejs booted field goals of 37, 30 and 35 yards for Saint Mary's.
Ashton Dickson scored on a one-yard run for the X-Men, while Jeremy Ford added field goals of 27 and 38 yards.
