Roughriders release running back Brandon West

The Saskatchewan Roughriders released running back Brandon West on Thursday.

The five-foot-10, 193-pound West spent two seasons with the Roughriders after joining the CFL club as a free agent in March 2011.

West rushed for 233 yards on 45 carries in 2011 but only ran 15 times for 48 yards last season.
