Brooke Henderson has moved to within 80 world ranking points of Minjee Lee of Australia for the No. 1 world ranking. The 16-year-old from Smiths Falls, Ont. picked up 128 world ranking points after finishing runner-up at the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship.

Elizabeth Tong of Thornhill, Ont. picked up 31 spots after falling to fellow Canadian Augusta James in the round of 32 at the U.S. Women's Amateur.

Inside the top 10, Garrett Rank climbed five spots after finishing in a tie for sixth. Peter Campbell's tie for second at the PGA Tour Canada's Forces and Families Open vaulted him 227 spots up the world rankings. That helped the Baddeck, N.S. golfer go from No. 18 up into the top 10 in Canada, thanks to his first top-10 result of the year after missing four of his last five cuts.

Nick Taylor of Abbotsford, B.C. picked up 67 spots after finishing in a tie for ninth at the Tour event. It was only his second top-10 result of the year after missing the cut in seven of his last 10 events.

Lorie Kane climbed back into the top five in the Canadian women's rankings following her tie for 42nd at the LPGA's Meijer Classic. It was the best result of the year for Kane since the Australian Open back in February and snapped a string of five missed cuts.

Alena Sharp of Hamilton, Ont. regained the No. 2 ranking among Canadian women, finishing in a tie for 50th at the LPGA event. The significance there is she now occupies one of the two spots available to Canada for the upcoming 2016 Summer Olympics.

Samantha Richdale of Kelowna, B.C. climbed 51 spots after finishing in a tie for eighth as the Symetra Tour event in New England, just threes shots behind the winner.
