OAKVILLE, Ont. - The Canadian Tour will offer just one qualifying school for the 2012 season.



The tour's Q-School will take place May 8-11 at The Country Club at Soboba Springs in San Jacinto, Calif., and Oak Valley Golf Club in Beaumont, Calif. Deadline for entries is April 30, 2012. It's the first time since 1986 the Canadian Tour will have just one Q-school.



A record total of 60 Canadian Tour cards will be awarded to the top finishers regardless of field size, which will be capped at 264 players.



Play will be conducted on the two courses, with each competitor playing both courses twice.



The Canadian Tour's 2012 schedule begins with the Times Colonist Island Savings Open in Victoria from June 7-10.
