A minimum of 40 Tour cards will be up for grabs at the first PGA Tour Canada qualifying school set for this April.

The Tour, formerly known as the Canadian Tour, says the top 20 players at Q-School will earn exempt status on the 2013 Tour while the next 20 plus ties would earn conditional status.

The qualifying tournament will be a four round event at the Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon in Beaumont, California from April 9 - 12. Applications for the qualifying event are being accepted until March 20th.

Seven events highlight the inaugural season of the PGA Tour Canada, which starts in Victoria the first week of June and concludes with the Tour Championship in September. Every event is guaranteed a purse of $150,000 with the top five players on the season ending Order of Merit earning playing status on the Web.com Tour in 2014.
