Sue Kim is the newest Canadian to join the LPGA Tour following the rain-delayed conclusion of the Symetra Tour Championship on Monday.

The Langley, B.C. player slumped to a final round 80 on Sunday but her tie for 31st left her sixth on the Tour's money list, enough to secure her LPGA privileges for 2014. Kim, who won once this year and added three more top-10 results, went into the finale ranked fourth.

Alena Sharp played her way back to full status for 2014 after finishing ninth on the money list. Sharp, who had conditional status on the LPGA Tour this past year, had three runner-up results and two more top-10 finishes on the developmental tour this year. Her second place finish at the Volvik Championship two weeks ago moved the Hamilton native back into the top 10 and forced her to make a difficult decision to skip her annual charity event in Phoenix to play in the finale and secure her LPGA card rather than go back to q-school.

The tournament was forced into a Monday finish after rain washed out third round play on Saturday. Several players were unable to complete their final round on Sunday due to darkness, meaning a delay in official confirmation of the top 10 LPGA graduates. Only one player was knocked out of the top 10 as Perrine Delacour finished second to move up to No. 8 while Olivia Jordan-Higgins fell out of the top 10 after missing the cut.

Megan McChrystal birdied the final hole on Monday to claim the season-ending championship. While the victory didn't move McChrystal into the top-10 , the first place winner's cheque was enough to place her in the top-20 meaning a direct entry into the final stage of LPGA Qualifying School in December.

Barring any further additions through Q-school, there will be at least five Canadians playing full-time on the LPGA Tour next year.
