The Vancouver Canucks won Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final Wednesday night 1-0 on a late goal in the third periood by Raffi Torres.

Goaltenders Roberto Luongo and Tim Thomas stole the show, keeping the scoresheet blank as they combined to make 69 saves. There was a lot of talk about the importance of special teams ahead of the series, and the penalty killers came through, with both teams going 0-for-6 on the power play.

Globe hockey writers Matthew Sekeres and Eric Duhatschek were at Rogers Arena and will be online here at noon ET Thursday to take reader questions on Game 1 and the series ahead.
