The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired two-time 20-goal scorer Michael Frolik from the Florida Panthers.
The Blackhawks also get goaltender Alexander Salak in the trade announced Wednesday. The Panthers acquired forwards Jack Skille, Hugh Jessiman and David Pacan in return.
Frolik, 22, has eight goals and 21 assists in 52 games this season. The native of Kladno, Czech Republic, scored 21 goals in each of the past two seasons with Florida.
Frolik, a former star with the Rimouski Oceanic of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, was selected 10th overall by the Panthers in the 2006 NHL draft.
Salak, 24, currently leads all goaltenders in the Swedish Elite League with a .925 save percentage and six shutouts, and ranks sixth with a 2.04 goals-against average in 41 games with Farjestad BK.
Skille, 23, has seven goals and 10 assists in 49 games with the Blackhawks. The six-foot-one, 215-pound American was selected by Chicago with its first choice, seventh overall, in the 2005 NHL draft.
"We are very pleased to welcome all three players to our organization," Panthers GM Dale Tallon said in a statement. "Jack is a high character, big, strong player who will add a physical presence to our line-up and also possesses the ability to score goals.
"We look forward to the contributions that all three players will make within our organization."
Jessiman, 26, has three goals and two assists in 25 games with the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs. The six-foot-six, 215-pounder from New York was taken by the Rangers 12th overall in the 2003 draft.
Pacan, a 19-year-old Ottawa native, has 14 goals and 29 assists in 47 games with Niagara of the Ontario Hockey League.
