The Montreal Canadiens say forward David Desharnais has a broken foot and will be out three weeks.
The Canadiens confirmed the injury on their verified Twitter account.
Desharnais was injured blocking a shot with his foot in Monday's 6-2 loss to the Arizona Coyotes and underwent X-rays after the game.
He has nine goals and 17 assists in 57 games this season.
The Canadiens have lost three straight heading into tonight's home game against Philadelphia.
