Connor Brown scored twice and set up two more as the Erie Otters downed the visiting Peterborough Petes 6-3 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.

The Toronto Maple Leafs prospect now has 10 goals in his last seven outings and leads Erie with 16 goals and 25 points in 19 games.

Connor McDavid had two goals and an assist for the Otters (5-11-3), who halted their five-game losing streak, while Anthony Cortellessa and Adam Pelech scored a goal apiece.

Chase Hatcher, Greg Betzold and Alan Quine scored for the Petes (4-12-3), who have now dropped five straight contests.

Oscar Dansk stopped 41-of-44 shots for the win while Peterborough's Andrew D'Agostini allowed three goals on 13 shots before getting pulled early in the second period. Michael Giugovaz stopped 11-of-13 shots in relief.

Erie went 1 for 3 on the power play while Peterborough failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.

Elsewhere in the OHL, it was: Kingston 2, Belleville 0; Plymouth 5, Windsor 3; Owen Sound 5, Brampton 3; Sarnia 4, Guelph 2; Kitchener 3, Sault Ste. Marie 1; London 4, Sudbury 1; Mississauga 6, Niagara 3; Saginaw 8, Ottawa 3 and Barrie 5, Oshawa 3.

At Erie, Pa., Quine opened the scoring just 13 seconds into the first period and Hatcher put Peterborough up 2-0 by the 5:31 mark.

McDavid responded for the Otters with a short-handed goal at 8:24 and Pelech added another goal while down a man at 16:10 to make it 2-2 after 20 minutes of play.

Brown and Cortellessa scored seven minutes apart in the second period to give Erie a 4-2 lead heading into the final period.

Brown gave his squad a three-goal lead with a power-play goal 7:47 into the third.

Betzhold got one back for Peterborough at 10:35, but McDavid scored into an empty net in the final minute to secure an Otters' win.

At Kingston, Ont., Mike Morrison stopped all 28 shots he faced and Henri Ikonen scored the winning goal at 15:15 of the third period as the Frontenacs (9-9-0) blanked Belleville (9-6-2).

At Plymouth, Mich., Stefan Noesen scored twice and set up two more and Matt Mahalak made 34 saves as the Whalers (10-5-3) handed Windsor (8-8-4) its third straight defeat.

At Brampton, Ont., Daniel Catenacci scored a pair of goals, including the winner at 16:47 of the third period, and Brandon Hope stopped 23-of-26 shots as Owen Sound (13-3-3) beat the Battalion (6-8-5) for its first win in three outings.

At Guelph, Ont., Alex Galchenyuk and Reid Boucher each had a goal and an assist as Sarnia (11-7-1) doubled up the Storm (12-7-1) for its third-straight victory.

At Kitchener, Ont., John Gibson stopped 21-of-22 shots and Ryan Murphy and Ben Thomson each had a goal and an assist as the Rangers (12-5-2) slipped past Sault Ste. Marie (9-9-1) for their fourth win in as many outings.

At London, Ont., Jacob Jammes and Corey Pawley both scored their first OHL goals and Jake Paterson stopped 41-of-42 shots as the Knights (11-5-2) beat Sudbury (8-10-2) for its third win in a row.

Steelheads 6 IceDogs 3

At Mississauga, Ont., Trevor Carrick scored a goal and added two assists and Spencer Martin made 28 saves as the Steelheads (12-5-1) doubled up Niagara (12-6-1), which had its three-game winning streak snapped.

Spirit 8 67's 3

At Ottawa, Brandon Prophet scored twice and Vincent Trocheck had a goal and two assists as Saginaw (7-10-2) crushed the 67's (6-10-2).

Colts 5 Generals 3

At Oshawa, Ont., Steven Beyers and Anthony Camara had two goals and an assist each as Barrie (14-4-1) won its third straight contest by beating the Generals (11-7-2).
