Vancouver Canucks left wing David Booth, out since Dec. 6 after a knee-on-knee hit left him with a sprained MCL, was scheduled to return to action Sunday night against the Anaheim Ducks.

Booth played the first six games of the season with Florida, and he had one assist and goals in those six games before being traded to Vancouver. He has five goals and seven assists in 19 games with the Canucks. He had three goals and five points in the last five games before getting hurt.

"It's always tough when you miss five, six weeks, so the best thing to do is kind of keep it simple at the start and not try to do too much," Booth told reporters after Sunday's skate. "I'm playing with good players so if I just keep my game simple they'll help out a lot."
