And they say hockey players never get any big endorsement deals.

Alex Ovechkin has signed on to be the face of Mr. Big in Canada, which comes with the perk of having his face on every chocolate bar and the ability to star in a series of seven commercials we'll all likely be sick of by the time the season starts.

It's all high brow stuff as you can imagine, with Ovechkin offering unique insight into the game and, well, using Mr. Bigs as nunchucks with random ninja sounds playing in the background.

Must have been one heckuva deal. (Although it's still a step up from what Georges Laraque did.)

Accoring to the company, Ovechkin will not only do the commercials and appearances but also act as a "life coach" for three Canadians who win the Mr. Big Deal contest:

"Canadians interested in becoming bigger deals can enter online for their chance to win one of three Life Coach Experiences with Alex simply by visiting Facebook.com/mrbig and entering a UPC code found on one of the chocolate bars. Fans will also have a chance at winning a Mr.Big prize pack by playing games that feature Alex Ovechkin. These are located on the Facebook page."

The contest winner will have their choice of three activities to spend their two hours with "life coach" Ovechkin doing:

(1) sit at the front row at Washington Fashion Week; (2) go to a restaurant dinner or video arcade session; or (3) have a home cooked meal at Ovechkin's home.

Playing football with him is, sadly, not an option:
