Ryan Rupert of the OHL's London Knights.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed forward Ryan Rupert to a three-year entry level contract.

The 19-year-old Rupert played for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League this season, putting up 21 goals, 52 assists, 54 penalty minutes and a plus-36 rating in 68 regular-season games.

In 10 playoff games thus far with the Knights, the 5-foot-9, 190-pound centre has three goals, seven assists and 10 penalty minutes.

Over his four-season OHL career with London he has 194 points (58 goals, 136 assists) with 279 penalty minutes in 224 games. He was a member of the Knights back-to-back OHL championship teams in 2011-12 and 2012-13.

Rupert, a native of Grand Bend, Ont., was selected by Maple Leafs in the sixth round, 157th overall in the 2012 draft.
