Edmonton Oiler defenceman Sheldon Souray is now a Hershey Bear.

The Oilers have loaned Souray to the American Hockey League team for an indefinite period.

The Bears are the farm team for the Washington Capitals.

Souray will be paid $4.5-million this season.

The Oilers have tried to trade Souray since he criticized management this spring and demanded to be moved.

Souray has cleared waivers twice and was told to stay away from the Oilers training camp.
