Add a couple of more injuries to the ever-growing list for the Pittsburgh Penguins, who will be without both winger James Neal and centre Jordan Staal for weeks.
Neal broke his foot Saturday night while blocking a shot against the New Jersey Devils. The Penguins' leading goal-scorer will not be able to play for "weeks, not days," coach Dan Bylsma told reporters Sunday.
Staal also will be out for weeks, expected to be a four-to-six-week period, Bylsma said, due to a knee injury he sustained Friday against the New York Rangers. He will not need surgery though.
The injuries continued Sunday, as Craig Adams limped off with a right knee injury after colliding with defensemen Brooks Orpik and Matt Niskanen. The team said Adams would be further examined Monday.
Pittsburgh has already watched captain Sidney Crosby battle concussion problems throughout the year and have missed a host of other key players.
