Sidney Crosby has never looked quite like this before.
The Philadelphia Daily News dressed up the Pittsburgh Penguins captain as a lion on its Wednesday cover under the headline: "The Cowardly Penguin."
With the Flyers up 3-0 in their first-round series over Pittsburgh, the front page of the tabloid also said "Time To Finish Off Sniveling Sidney" in Game 4 on Wednesday night.
The Penguins star took it in stride.
"It's probably one of the nicer things they've written about me," Crosby said after the morning skate.
Crosby is always a target in Philadelphia — where fans routinely chant "Crosby sucks!" at Wells Fargo Center — and he appeared to lose his cool in Sunday's Game 3 loss when he fought Flyers forward Claude Giroux.
Afterwards, he told reporters that he didn't like any member of the Flyers.
Philadelphia has come up with its own response to that. Fans attending Game 4 will be given T-shirts that say: "Guess what? We don't like you either."
