The New York Rangers, already without Marc Staal and Michael Sauer, announced Monday that Steve Eminger would be out 8 to 10 weeks with a separated right shoulder he sustained in Saturday's game against Phoenix.

Eminger has two goals in two assists in 30 games this season.

The Rangers have recalled defencemen Stu Bickel and Tim Erixon from the AHL's Connecticut Whale. Bickel takes Eminger's place on the roster, and Erixon is available if Jeff Woywitka (foot) can't play Tuesday night.

Staal, who has been out with concussion symptoms, said Monday he could be cleared for contact soon.

Sauer also sustained a concussion but he may not be ready to return for a while.
