Gary Bettman Commissioner of the NHL talks to the press following collective bargaining talks in Toronto on Tuesday August 14, 2012.The Canadian Press

Hundreds of NHLPA members from teams across the league are headed to Manhattan Wednesday for a show of solidarity as the clock continues to tick towards the end of the NHL's current collective bargaining agreement.

A lockout seems all but inevitable even as the league and union meet early Wednesday to resume collective bargaining talks. The two sides remain far apart on the central issue of how to divide league revenues.

Is there any hope for a deal? How long would a potential lockout last? Will there be any NHL hockey this season?

Globe and Mail hockey writers James Mirtle and Eric Duhatschek will be here live Wednesday at 2 p.m. to take your questions on the NHL labour negotiations and what lies ahead if the players are officially locked out by owners on Saturday.
