Born in 1970, the Vancouver Canucks first qualified for the Stanley Cup final in 1982. They made it to the championship series again in 1994. They lost both. The Canucks have also recorded six 100-point seasons without advancing to the final those years. Here's a look at those eight promising seasons in which they came up short:



1981-82: 77 points



Playoffs: Lost in Stanley Cup final (4-0) to the New York Islanders.



1992-93: 101 points



Playoffs: Lost in divisional final (4-2) to the Los Angeles Kings.



1993-94: 85 points



Playoffs: Lost in Stanley Cup final (4-3) to the New York Rangers.



2002-03: 104 points



Playoffs: Lost in conference semi-final (4-3) to the Minnesota Wild.



2003-04: 101 points



Playoffs: Lost in conference quarter-final (4-3) to the Calgary Flames.



2006-07: 105 points



Playoffs: Lost in conference semi-final (4-1) to the Anaheim Ducks.



2008-09: 100 points



Playoffs: Lost in conference semi-final (4-2) to the Chicago Blackhawks.



2009-10: 103 points



Playoffs: Lost in conference semi-final (4-2) to the Chicago Blackhawks.
