Danny Briere

Canadiens forward Daniel Brière is no longer dealing with concussion symptoms and has resumed skating, according to coach Michel Therrien.

Brière suffered a concussion Oct. 19 after being hit by Eric Nystrom of the Nashville Predators and has not played since. He skated Monday at the team's practice facility along with fellow injured Montreal forward Brandon Prust, who's out with a shoulder injury.

Brière had a goal and two assists in eight games before the injury. Prust, who also hasn't played since Oct. 19, has two goals and one assist.

Forward Travis Moen practised with teammates Monday for the first time since suffering a fractured orbital bone Oct. 26 against the San Jose Sharks. He did so wearing a blue no-contact jersey.

Defenceman Alexei Emelin practised with teammates as well and was cleared for contact. Emelin has not played this season after undergoing knee surgery in May.

Emelin skated on a fourth defensive pairing, indicating he was unlikely to return for Tuesday's home game against St. Louis.

Following Monday's practice, Therrien confirmed that Carey Price (6-6-0, 2.18 goals-against average, .932 save percentage) will start against the Blues.
